WELCOME! Welcome to LJ Designs! (Leather and jewels are a classic combination!!) I make a variety of small leather Hip Purses and assorted products. Hip Purses are small purses that may be worn in several ways – but they get their name because they can be worn on the hip. By removing the strap – the hooks can be used to clip on to belt loops – giving you the hands-free option – while looking very hip! I have created an assortment of patterns and designs that I use, although depending on the leather remnants available I often alter the pattern to maximize the leather usage. The photographs I post are of the actual purse or item I have made, I have no stock photos. Each one of my purses are made using designer leather remnants on my home sewing machine and made by me alone. I pack it up myself so if you have any questions please ask. Also, because I purchase my materials from US suppliers, these are truly made in America. Why do I mention all of this? - To let you know that your purchase will be shipped out as soon as possible without having to wait for its production. (Unless, of course, you have a custom order, which I am more than happy to accommodate!) - Also, I cannot guarantee that I will be able to recreate an item shown here once it is sold. This is due to having a limited amount of each of the leathers I use, or the embellishments may be one-of-a-kind or simply hard to find. I have included some basic leather care tips further below for your reference. CUSTOM ORDERS As I mentioned above - I love to create custom orders! Those I have made have been such a genuine pleasure – both from a creative aspect as well as giving my clients something special that they have imagined. If you would like to customize a hip purse or other item, please contact me with your ideas or special features you'd like to add and I can give you a quote. Custom orders usually ship within 2 weeks of purchase depending upon my current volume and availability of leather or embellishments. Some possible options include selection of a particular choice of leather, adding a key leash, adding an exterior or interior pocket with flap or zipper closure, creating a matching wallet or wristlet, etc. PAYMENT Because I do not currently have a shopping cart to handle these transactions through my website please contact me directly for payment. I accept PayPal and credit cards for all transactions ordered through my website. *** CA residents must pay the 9.25% sales tax. This will be added at time of purchase. I use USPS Flat Rate Priority Mail with delivery confirmation within the U.S. Let me know at the time of purchase if you want to buy additional insurance. International customers PLEASE contact me for quotes. REFUNDS / EXCHANGES I hope that you are thrilled with your purchase but please contact me if there is a problem. These items are made and ready to ship so the photos you see are the actual item in each listing. I’m happy to send more photos prior to purchase. Please ask questions and read carefully as the features of each item are clearly identified and vary from bag to bag. (that’s the fun of handmade, right?) I will offer refunds if the item is returned in sellable condition* but shipping charges will not be refunded. *Items must be returned in the same or comparably sized packaging. CARE for your LJD HIP PURSE/WALLET Fine leather deserves fine care. Proper care prevents the leather from drying out and cracking, and it protects it from excessive moisture that can cause the skin to swell or mildew. The following information will provide you with tips to ensure your investment will last and you'll have a soft, reliable leather hip purse for years to come. 1) Handle leather with clean hands. Leather bags are susceptible to absorbing grease and oils. Wipe the surface of a leather tote with a damp white cotton cloth, but be careful not to use too much water, because leather takes time to dry. 2) Apply a cleaner especially made for leather. This "soft soap" is applied using a circular motion and wiped off with a slightly damp cloth so as not to clog the pores of the fabric. Applying this soap one or two times a year should keep your leather handbag clean. 3) Moisturize your bag with a leather conditioner to keep it supple. Do not use a conditioner on patent leather purses. 4) Remove stains as soon as you notice them. Organic stains from food or blood can often be removed with chalk powder. Crush white chalk, let it sit on the stain overnight and dust it off with a clean cloth. |
